It’s been an odd week. Between work and being sick, I’ve been very busy. Jiu Jitsu has been a lot of fun this week. Even though I get crushed when I step on the mat, I’ve finished the session much more positive than when I started. The year is coming to a close, and there’s a lot of preparation that goes to tying up loose ends to ready myself for the coming year. That includes scheduling posts to finish out 2018. Here’s a look at the rest of the month.
Final 2018 Review
I have one more review to post for the year end, The Dream-Quest of Vellitt Boe by Kij Johnson. My quick take is that I loved this story. While I haven’t read much H.P. Lovecraft and this story is inspired by The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath, Vellitt Boe stands on its own. It’s a fantastic story.
Year End Review
Part of setting goals is to review the progress made. The end of the calendar year is a great time to do that. Here’s 2017’s post. I’ve started brainstorming the review post. Looking back, 2018 has been a crazy year.
That's All
Short post this week. Let me know in the comments what you’re up to.
