Empire of Exiles by Erin M. Evans begins with a murder that takes the main characters into the lingering effects of a failed coup in the recent past. Secrets are uncovered that were best left hidden, and the very balance of the empire may once again be at stake. Highly recommended.
Review: Notorious Sorcerer
Notorious Sorcerer by Davinia Evans follows Siyon Velo's unique education in alchemy. An act of public magic sets Siyon and Bezim itself on a path towards salvation or armageddon. Highly recommended.

Eversion tells the tale of Silas Coade and his many pulp-style adventures. As with any Alistair Reynolds book, there's more going on than meets the eye. Will Coade and crew ever reach the mysterious Edifice?

Chelsea Abdullah's The Stardust Thief opens the Sandsea Trilogy with a bang. This character-rich fantasy belongs on every SFF fans shelf. Fans of Brandon Sanderson and Catherynne M. Valente will love this book. Highly recommended.

Daniel Abraham's luxurious Age of Ash starts an ambitious new project focusing on a year in the life of Kithamar. Each book will have a different perspective. Age of Ash is Alys's book. Do yourself a favor and come meet this wily gal. Highly recommended.
Review: The Justice of Kings
The Justice of Kings by Richard Swan features a medieval version of Judge Dredd with necromancy. There's great world building, depth of character, and an engaging plot. I'll be rereading this one soon for sure. Highly recommended.
