Upcoming Reviews July – September 2021

June 21, 2021June 20, 2021 / Eric Primm

Currently Reading A Declaration of the Rights of Magicians by H.G. Parry Earlier this year, I bought A Declaration of the Rights of Magicians on a whim. First, I liked the cover, and the title was intriguing. When I started reading the first few pages, I was hooked. I picked the trade paperback version up … Continue reading Upcoming Reviews July – September 2021

May 6, 2021May 5, 2021 / Eric Primm

The Library of the Dead by T.L. Huchu is an excellent start to a new urban fantasy series. The main character, Ropa, entertains and will make you laugh. If you're an urban fantasy fan, this is a must read book. Highly recommended.

April 27, 2021April 26, 2021 / Eric Primm

The Blacktongue Thief opens a new and must read fantasy series. It blew me away. Kinch is my new favorite character in fantasy, and I can't wait to learn more about his world. Highly recommended.

Review: The Helm of Midnight

March 30, 2021March 30, 2021 / Eric Primm

From the moment that I read Terry Pratchett's Night Watch, I fell in love with fantasy police procedurals. In fact, I think I like them more than strict police procedurals themselves. The second is that whatever force is causing the universe to expand will reach equilibrium with gravity, and the universe will reach a stable … Continue reading Review: The Last Watch

Review: The Seventh Perfection

August 18, 2020August 17, 2020 / Eric Primm

As a reader, there's no better feeling than finding the right book at the right time. It's as if the world has aligned to let us experience a sublime moment that sadly is all too fleeting. Daniel Polansky's The Seventh Perfection found me at the right time. In short, I loved this book. TL;DR Daniel … Continue reading Review: The Seventh Perfection

Mini Review Four Audiobooks Audiobooks are a regular part of my reading life. During my commute and workday, I listen to books or podcasts. Lately, I’ve had a run of really, really good audiobooks. Ones that I will listen to again. Ones that I may even read. Since I don’t listen to audiobooks with the … Continue reading Mini Review Four Audiobooks
